MEET OUR NEW PASTOR:

Pastor Matthew Darrin

Matt has been a pastor for twenty years and came Howland church family in 2011.

Matt spent three years as a missionary before entering pastoral ministry. Previously he was a high school teacher. Matt specializes in children and youth ministry, drama, and church growth.

Matt and his wife Janel have been married for over 20 years. Matt and Janel have four beautiful and talented children Gabrielle, Samuel, Christian, and Elizabeth whom Pastor Matt says got all of their beauty and talent from their mother.

Congratulations to our very own worship leader Samuel Darrin! He was crowned homecoming king today at the University of Mount Union!!

Pastor Dick’s last day with us was July 2023. His remaining time at BUMC was bittersweet and marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Our appreciation for all that the pastor has done for us and our community and wish him well in his new position at New Hope United Methodist.
